Planes and Zoos.....

So the weekend went well. The plane rides were another story. On the way out, she feel asleep before take off and woke up right afterwards and screamed for what seemed like hours....a lady in theback felt sorry for us and offered us some infant gravol, i normally do not take drugs from strangers, but this time was different. she feel asleep and i was able to watch the movie!!!! Landing she screamed her poor little head off and then was all fine once we touched ground! The way back was somewhat the same. We were lucky b/c we had 3 seats to ourselves.....I'm just glad it's over.
The trip was good, she was a little angel, everyone loved her and we have minimum crying. She had a good easter and my mom and I ate all the goodies in the house!!!!!! My grandmother seems to be doing better. She's pretty sick, but we're all taking it one day at a time.



Yesterday we visited the Calgary Zoo with a couple friends, the weather was great and we all had a good time. Lindsay wasn't overly interested in the animals, but she seemed to have fun! I'm soo glad it's spring, it's so nice to be outside and enjoy the sunshine. I can't wait for summer.

WOW my little girl is 8 months old today! I can't believe how fast time goes by. Everyone said it would and I didn't believe it. Before I know it she'll be one!!
She's one big baby, over 20lbs (scale said 23lbs today!!) and almost 29 inches long. She's very good at sitting now. Still falls over once and a while, but at least now she doesn't scream when she falls. She's very good at standing with help, just started holding on the coffee table while standing and is busy messing everything up on the coffee table.
Solids are going well, she's tried, apples, carrots, yams, pears, green beans, brocolli and squash. I've made all her baby food, which is really easy and fun!! It was a little slow going, but it's picked up in the last week or so. We'd tried some finger foods, in other words we let her munch on dry toast. She's also mastered the sippy cup, though she still prefers her bottle.
Ummmm lets see life has been quiet lately. lots of baby parties, and get togethers. My grandma is sick, he had a heart attack a couple weeks ago. my mom and dad have been out there for 2 weeks now. she's home, but it's not looking good, all her arteries are clugged and she's really sick. Jason, Lindsay and I are flying out on Friday for easter weekend. Lindsay's first plane ride. Should be fun. I'm really happy Jason's coming with me. It looked like I was going to have to go by myself. Thankfully that's not going to happen.
