One week later....here's the breakdown of the week.

Saturday we hosted had the annual Halloween party with out pre-natal group. 9 kids and 16 adults all in our house! It was a good time, crazy but a good time! It's soo neat to watch the kids grow up. It's hard to believe I've watched each of those kids grow up. Hopefully we can stay in each others lives for years to come.

Sunday we left for Saskatoon to buy a home. Drive over was great, Lindsay sat and watched her dvds and played with her toys. House hunting was another story. First night we saw 3 houses and Monday I went out and saw 6 houses. Jason had to leave monday for Meadow Lake. He didn't get back until late Tuesday. That night we went to relook at our favourite house. Ended up putting in an offer and the offer was accepted (after some negotiation). Had a home inspection done and a roof inspection is being done on Monday. Tuesday we hope to remove conditions.

Drive home was another story. Kidlet ended up puking 45mins outside of Saskatoon. We carried on. she complained and cried most of the way home. Puked another itme, but that was because her crazy mom gave her a brownie....yah bad idea on my part. She was fine when we got home. think the stress of travelling and spending soo mjuch time away from me contributed to it. She's fine now.

to add to it all Jason had a lovely bout of food poisoning last night. I am sick of sickies....hopefully all passes soon.

Not much else is new, it's been a crazy week. I'm excited about the home. It's in the area I really wanted, it does need some upgrades, like flooring and paint. But both we enjoy doing! I can't wait to start looking for hardwood and carpet!!

WOW has it really been a year? I guess it has.....lets recap shall we.

in the process of moving to saskatoon.

So I guess you really can go back home. We are. We're moving to Saskatoon. Back in December Jason received a promotion and is the rep for Saskatchewan, they told us at the time we'd be moved to saskatoon in 4-6 months. We're currently on month 10........so yah.that caused a lot of anst and stress. But the house is up for sale and we're going house hunting on Sunday.

Onto the job....I returned back to work after mat leave last August. Work had it's ups and downs. More downs than ups recently, which lead to my quitting earlier than planned. In other words my TL was a jerk......

Lindsay is a nutty kid. She drives me insane...but what else is new.

I am completely addicted to The Office

I lost weight, then gained it all back.

WOW been a while since I posted. I guess I just wasn't in the mood. Plus I didn't have anything positive to say. So what's been happening.....
July I spend the whole month feeling sorry for myself. I returned to work August 1st and they felt like dooom day to me. I just didn't want to do it. But the day has come and gone and it really wasn't that bad. Work side is pretty good, everyone is really nice to me and was happy to see me. Lindsay seems to doing really well at the dayhome. She did have her first breakdown yesterday when I left. Poor kid, she's too young to understand, all she knows is her mommy is leaving. *sigh* I'm sure it'll get better once we get into a routine. I'm easing back into work. I'm only working 2 days a week in August. Then in September I return to a regular schedule. Which will be 2 full days and 3 nights of 4-9pm. This works out well for everyone. Lindsay's in care for 2 9hr days and 3 3hr days. I get to spend 3 almost full days with her and her dad gets to spend 3 evenings alone with her. Which should be interesting.
Hmmmm Lindsay wise, she's not crawling yet. We did visit a pedi about it in the early July. He was such a jerk, he was the type who i guess felt he was a big shot and didn't need to spend the time of day with us...whatever. We've been referred to a physiotherapist and have our first appointment August 18th. The whole situation is fairly frustrating, everyone has an opinion on it. I'm sick of hearing "oh she'll crawl when she's ready" ummmmm alright. Or my personal fav "you surround her with toys why would she crawl?" ummmm okay i'm going to take away all her toys, yep that's going to make her crawl. Some people......
She did learn to go from lying down in her crib to sitting up. She's soooooooo proud of herself too. I made the mistake of laughing and cheering the first time she did it, so now she's all smiles when she does it. *sigh* naps and bedtime are now quite the challenge.
We made 2 trips in the last month, went to Victoria for July long weekend and went to Saskatoon 2 weeks ago. Both were alright. In Saskatoon Lindsay refused to sleep. So each night was a challenge and needless to say I didn't get a lot of sleep. I was thankful to get home and get a good nights sleep.
This past Saturday Jason and I re-joined Weight Watchers. I weigh the same as I did when I joined last October after Lindsay was born and 6lbs higher than when I joined before I was pregnant. It's quite a life adjustment, in the first couple weeks you adjust to not being able to eat as much as you want when you want. But at least I can still eat chocolate bars, I just have to make sure it's within my points for the day. I'm really hoping it works this time. I'm sick and tired of being over weight. I want to feel normal again, I want to feel comfortable again. So wish me luck!!!!
Anyways that's about all that is new right now......

June 27

So a bit has happened since my last post. Our car was written off :-( But the good news was they gave us almost $5,000 more than we were expecting! I swear our insurance company is soo mean.....I was soo fed up with our crappy rental car that I phoned "Brad" our adjuster to find out about our car since it had almost been 3 weeks. I left a rather whinny message and he phoned back the next day while I was in the shower saying they had an answer, blah blah. So i tried for the rest of the day to reach him and nothing. Frustrated Jason played phone tag with his supervisor on Friday and finally got through around 3pm. They told Jason we had to have the rental back by Monday....ummmmm thanks 3 days to find a new car. BLAH.
A week or so previous we had decided we wanted a Jetta (see previous post) and found one a local dealership. So we went over Saturday to test drive and loved it! So we bought it! Picked up on Monday!!! It's a 2002 VW Jetta GLS TDI! I'm sooo excited about the diesel, 1000km to a tank...ummmm YES PLEASE!!!!! I'm soo happy the stupid thing is over. A lot of bumps along the way but it's DONE!!!!!
Hmmmm Lindsay has not started crawling yet. I brought the subject up with our doctor and he was a bit concerned because she was late to sit as well. So we have an appointment with a pedi next Friday, should be interesting to see what he says. Also poor Lindsay had a cold that would just not go away. She was up a couple nights coughing the whole night. So I took her in and she's on her first antibiotics. She seems to enjoy the flavour......but the doctor noticed she has a lazy eye, so we've been referred to an infant optomologist at the children's hospital. We don't an appt yet, but should soon. Pooor kid. I had noticed the lazy eye...she'll probably either have to wear a patch or glasses. But it's better to have it fixed now while she's young than later.
She's learned how to cheer, it's soo cute! I'll clap and say yahhhh and she'll wave her hands around and say "ahhhhhh" SUPER CUTE!!! if my camera wasn't broken i'd take a video (still awaiting my new one....) But she's such a pleasure, she's such a character!
Off to Victoria for the long weekend! Should be fun! Lindsay's second plane ride!!! This time on Westjet w/ TVs!!!

ha ha I just realized my last post was on 6-6-6 NOT that I believe in that crap...but still pretty funny.

Well well well guess who's 10 months old today?!?!?! YEP! 10 months ago today Lindsay was born!!!!!! She's just getting over a cold, which just added to the previous issues....she's doing much better now.

Heard about the car, the body shop believes over $10,000 in repairs, the insurance company is sending someone out to determine whether that is correct, how much the car is worth and whether they will write it off. Our claims guy said it will probably be written off.....FUN! We're thinking of buying a Jetta (yes Jen I know you're mad now....) but we'll see what happens this week.

Parents were in town over the weekend, that was fun. Did some shopping and Jason and I went for dinnr without Lindsay which was nice!! She's just a handful when we go out for dinner now.

Jason's in physio, no word on his x-rays yet. He has an appointment tomorrow. FUN! I'm heading with him.

My camera has died a horrible dealth....I've given up. It likes to turn on and off whenever it feels like it. I guess kiddie pools and camera's don't mix. LOL. Bought the same camera on ebay yesterday. Was $200 cheaper than when I bought it one year ago, crazy how that works. It's an awesome camera, top rated by consumer reports, but canon no longer makes it. I'll hang onto the old one. Not sure what to do with it just yet.....

Alrightly, what's new. I'm saying in advance this will be a long one........so just over a week ago, Jason was working on a fence job and threw out his back. We went to the urgent care late Sunday night, with lindsay in tow...who by the way was awesome. she didn't cry or fuss considering we were there till 1:30am......well they couldn't do anything for Jason who was in soo much pain. They gave him a shot of something that did NOTHING, he couldn't sleep b/c of the pain, i eventually gave him some gravol so he would sleep. He stayed home Monday from work, went to the doctor on Wednesday who sent him for x-rays, he was doing much better by thursday....WHEN....

He was in a car accident!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was attempting to turn left, when a car went around another car turning left and smacked into our poor Honda Civic. Jason was okay at the scene. I had to leave Lindsay with a neightbour as the car was not drivable. I'm wishing I took pictures because the car was a mess! So the police had the car towed to the body shop, where it now sits awaiting decision from the insurance company whether to fix it or write it off.

So Saturday Jason's knee starts to really hurt, he didn't sleep well and was in a lot of pain Sunday. So we went to the walk in clinic. The doctor feels he jammed his leg into the dash, so gave him some pain killers and more x-rays. He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I hope all is okay. Needless to say it's been a stressful week.

Worst part is Lindsay has been waking every hour during the night for the past week. Jason's no help b/c of his condition and I don't think I've ever been soo tired. Not sure if she's teething or what. She seems to have a bit of a cold. Poor kid. I feel sorry for my parents who are coming for a visit tomorrow....

What a week.

Last Thursday I ventured to the zoo again with some friends from my pre-natal class. It's not so much about looking at the animals as it is about walking and chatting. It's nice to get out of the house.
So we bought Lindsay a baby pool last week. We tried it out Thursday night, and she did not like it at all! She freaked right out, screamed bloody murder and refused to go in again. We'll give it a try again later. I think the water could have been too cold. Who knows.
So I hate this time of year. More or less because of TV shows. I hate watching season finales, it means re-runs for the next couple months. So lets recap the finales:

Gilmore Girls
Extremely disapointing. I love Luke and Lorelei together and was heartbrokemn by the ending. It was retarded! Should be interesting to see what the new season will bring. The show's original creators have left, so it could be good and it could be bad.

7th Heaven
Was supposed to be the series finale, but it appears the show is returning *YAH* The "finale" was pretty lame, everyone knew Simon would not marry Rose, WTF was up with Sandy and the baby? I bet you the baby's Simons. Which is lame-O. Oh yah and everyone having twins?! WOW since the show is continueing should be interesting to see all those babies. Glad it's coming back!!

Scrubs
Pretty cool finale, I love JD, should be interesting to see how he does w/ a baby on the way, if it's his....Dr Cox having another baby is halarious, especially after they gave away all their baby stuff...which is probably why i'm afraid to give away my stuff. Hope the show returns, I love it!

The Office
If you don't watch this show, DO! It's awesome and halarious! It always makes me laugh even if it's a re-run. The show ended w/ Pam and Jim kissing. Should be interesting to see whether they end up together. This didn't seem to suprise me, probably because i've seen the british verision.

ER
WOW WOW WOW OMG! Leave it up to ER to leave us with an awesome finale! Can you imagin if the show ends, they'd have to blow up the ER or something. Well i hope Abby's okay and Luka..omg. Sam and her kid.....Jerry who btw can not DIE! I love Jerry! I was bawling at the end. I thought it was pretty dumb to kill of Galant...but I guess they are opening the window for Nila and Ray(who btw is hot hot hot) I hope everyone turns out okay and no one else dies.....

DUMB DUMB DUMB I think it was a huge mistake to kill of Marissa, I mean c'mon i know she wanted to leave the show, but just ship her off somewhere don't kill her...i would have liked to see her and Ryan end up together. Guess that'll never happen. I'm interested to see how the make the show work next year with Summer and Seth off in Rhode Island. I ready today they'll have a set there....again dumb to kill of Marissa and it was pretty dumb way IMA.

Alias
Ok JJ Abrams did not seriously kill of Jack Bristow...that pissed me off. I wanted to see Sydney and Jack end up on the beach happy. But it was kind of fitting how he died. Poor Sloane buried alive. Irina and Syd's fight was lame, and does anyone really think Irina is dead? I think the show left it too open. Almost like it will come back.

I'll add Lost and Everwood later. I'll also comment on the finale of Will and Grace and That 70's Show. Will and Grace was dumb and That 70's show should have ended at present day. I mean they should have shown the characters 30 years in the future at present day. Ah well.

So back to real life. Jason was off all long weekend, so we worked on the yard, it's more or less finished. Jason's going to build a deck down below and stairs down from the top deck. We bouight a fire pit, so we sat outside most nights after Lindsay went to bed and roasted marshmellows. mmmmmmmmmmmm
